GA: Broad Tort Reform Bill Passes in House
The Georgia House of Representatives voted 91-82 to approve a broad tort reform bill after months of debate. Lobbying was intense, but most on-the-fence Republicans voted for Governor Kemp’s top legislative priority. The Senate, which passed a similar bill in February, will have to give final approval to the House bill and then Governor Kemp will sign it into law.
