Light Cigarette Class Certified

Judge Weinstein has certified a racketeering class action against Philip Morris and most other actors in the tobacco industry asserting that consumers were defrauded by suggestions that “light” cigarettes were safer than the alternatives.  I assume that the opinion will be placed in the “Rulings of Interest” section of the SDNY website; it’s not there presently.

Duh.  He’s not in the SDNY.  There’s a link in the comments to the opinion.
